Dragon Slumber’s passion for sound and melody, rarely sleeps. Closely following the topography of Ireland’s fiddling traditions; Dragon Slumber’s mid-wife Ben Strong, creates a traditional harmonic experience, devoid of countries, borders or a home. Ben’s musical journey has evolved through the years, from PunkRock in The Greater Toronto area, to traveling The United States with the prolific folk group Profane Sass. Ben Continues to grow his roots in communities everywhere he goes; From The Causeway of the Giants in Ireland to the rolling hills of Saskatchewan’s Badlands. Dragon Slumber cultivates
deeply inculcated melodies, betrayed by modern harmonies, and danced to recent rhythms. From nowhere, and going nowhere with a passion.

Born in Saskatoon, raised in the forests of northern Saskatchewan, Aryn El Hefe has been playing acoustic-roots music since his child hood with early musical influences such as John Prine, Doc Watson and Gid Tanner and the Skillet Lickers. Short of being old, Aryn references the days gone by of music as a basis for his sound and inspiration. Old guitars, fiddles, banjo’s mandolin and the penny whistle make up Aryn’s Repertoire. Aryn promises to lead you through a maze of Bluegrass, Old Time, Irish and Folk originals and traditional tunes. Finding community everywhere, and making stages home for at least a little while. The edge of the mattress is soaking through from the weather, a storms always passing but the music keeps playing
