#var:page_name# cover

This workshop series has been carefully designed for girls aged 9-12 years to boost their confidence, self care and self esteem in a fun and creative way.

The theme of this workshop is 'Making Flower Crowns' and we will be doing this in the beautiful RAW Community Garden (there is an undercover area for making our crowns). Each girl will design and make her own flower crown to take home.

Making flower crowns is not only a fun activity, it also allows for age appropriate discussion around topics such as feeling beautiful in a society very much focussed on a narrow definition of beauty, inner vs outer beauty, and the importance of loving yourself. At each workshop the girls spend time in circle sharing their thoughts and feelings in a safe judgement free zone carefully facilitated by Melissa.
