Text Detection Workshop
Presented by Michael Corbridge, Sat 21st April, 2pm - 5pm.

A classically trained actor, director, teacher and voice coach Michael currently holds the position of Senior Voice and Text Associate/Educational Associate with the Royal Shakespeare Company as well as running an independent career as a voice and text practitioner both in the UK and internationally.
Join Michael Corbidge for some ‘Text Play!’ direct from the R.S.C.'s Rehearsal Room.

This workshop teaser and rabble rouser will provide participants with some of the essential skills and fundamental tool kit to explore the voice and Shakespeare’s extraordinary language actively and so build secure text detection strategies that are exciting, dynamic and fun.

For the past 6 years Michael has been lead practitioner on The RSC's Open Stages project culmination in a National tour of A Midsummer Night's Dream 2016.
He is Artistic Director of The Colour Voice Studio in Kent where he offers courses in Voice and Text and specialist 'bespoke' Shakespeare training.
He’s currently on directing projects in France and America and he’s directing 2 productions later this year '17 in the U.K.
He has lectured and trained across a number of tertiary institutions both at home and abroad and is a consultant/trainer/adjudicator with a number of U.K. established organisations, Currently he lectures in Voice and Text at Rose Bruford.
He parallels his corporate work with his theatre work and specializes in training through best rehearsal practice, transferability of skills using classical text and story telling.
