"Stoney: The Story of My Dad’s Life, An African American Groom of Horse Racing" by Alvin Stone
Saturday, May 12, 1 pm

In anticipation of the Preakness Horse Race, the museum will present a talk on "Stoney," the true story of an African American groom of horse racing. "Stoney" was a large part of Maryland horse-racing history for over 50 years, and he displayed his craft throughout the United States. He loved grooming horses and prepared them to run their best and arrive in the winner’s circle.
