Reiki Level 1 (Reiki First Degree) is truly a beautiful expression of making a commitment to heal and care for your self. It is also where you can begin to care for others and help them unblock energy and to begin an inward journey to heal themselves.
Each student will be attuned as Reiki Level 1 practitioner. You will have an opportunity to practice on each other, learning hand placements for others and self. There will also be a brief discussion on Reiki Level 2 and the Master Teacher Level class in the hopes that you will want to continue to learn to be of service to the universe.
At the end of the class you will be invited to make a 21-day commitment to yourself, the other students, the Reiki practice and your teacher. This commitment is by no means a requirement but it will deeply enhance the experience and your ability to connect with the Reiki energies. Mandy's commitment to you doesn’t end after the class is over. She will be available to mentor you and hopefully become a friend along the way. It is a beautiful gift that you will be able to share with others.
Limited to 6 participants. Register in advance to reserve your space.
About Mandy McLoughlin:
I started receiving Reiki about four years ago when I was diagnosed Mononucleosis. A friend told me that it would help increase my energy and lift my spirits. I was so exhausted that I was willing to try anything.
After about six months of receiving Reiki every other week, I was so profoundly affected that I decided I wanted to become a Reiki Master and help others achieve harmony and peace in their lives.
I moved through my Reiki studies quickly because I knew that this was something that I felt passionately about. I earned my Reiki I from the woman who I was seeing on a regular basis. It was a beautiful experience that changed me for the better. It was shortly after that experience that I took a leap of faith and rented my own studio to practice Reiki on family and my friends while I continued to study my Reiki II and Master Teacher certificate. During this time, I have also been slowly building by practice.
My desire to help others stems from the fact that I always feel my best when I am being of service to others. I remember a piece of advice I received many years back when I called a friend in tears. She said "find someone who is hurting more than you and offer yourself to them." It was so humbling but such an important life lesson for me.
Since that day, I have tried to take action to help others. I love sharing the gift of health and wellness. I am able to do this now through the practice of Reiki. I am thrilled to be given the opportunity to share this with people while they are practicing restorative yoga at Release Well-Being Center.
