HarmonizED is our free music therapy program. This group requires no prior musical experiences or talent; this group will utilize music as a time to grow, learn, and heal! Group participants will approach music with a fresh perspective of openness to get back to the foundations of creativity. Classes will explore music in a variety of ways, a few of which include: examining and discussing song lyrics to obtain ideas and group cohesion, practicing group songwriting as a means of self-empowerment, engaging in creative improvisation and music making to promote freedom and self-acceptance, and using music to strengthen self-esteem and grow self-love.
This group is intended for adult females and males (ages 18+).
HarmonizED is facilitated by Kathryn Boyer, MT-BC, NMT – Board Certified Music Therapist, Neurologic Music Therapist.
Classes meet on Tuesdays from 6:15-7:30pm at the Renewed office (2120 Crestmoor Rd., Suite 3000, Nashville, TN 37215) for the duration of a session. Registration is now open for Session 2 of 2018. Specific meeting dates include:
