May is Historic Preservation Month!

Archaeological excavations in the City of Renton beginning in 1979 uncovered the remains of Duwamish Indian villages spanning the period from approximately 1790 AD to approximately 1,700 years before present. Local archaeologist Michael Shong will discuss these sites and subsequent archaeological discoveries in the Renton vicinity over the past 40 years.
