"AUA AUA sind wie eine Packung zuhause vergessener Beruhigungspillen."

"#Fahrstuhlmusik für #Klaustrophobiker."

"Die perfekte Kapelle zur Einweihung Ihres neuen Zerspanungswerks."

“The genre of the German “Liedermacher” is a tricky one because many many, oh too many artists figure that it is enough to write some pseudo-lyrical texts and pluck at their guitar until they run out of words to rhyme. So, the joy to find someone like Jan Frisch cannot be described. His debut is no easy but (because of that) a great listen, because he balances little experiments in singing, instrumentals and lyrics with incredibly gorgeous melodies and themes that for once don’t feel as navel-gazing as many songwriters prefer them to be. No, Frisch is an impressionist who collects conversations and puts them together so we can experience them like little plays in his music but still have a lot of room to add our own experiences.” (Juliane Waack)
