Please join us for a new members' evening on Thursday 22nd March 6.30 - 8.30pm at Rhubaba.
Rhubaba choir are looking for new members to be part of an exciting programme of upcoming performances and workshops in 2018.
The choir's main focus at present is working on a set with artist Tessa Lynch to be performed at Collective on Calton Hill later in the year. The ambitious outdoor nature of the performance requires a powerful chorus of voices to battle with the elements and really make an impact!
The Rhubaba Choir provides the opportunity for individuals to sing together in a welcoming, eclectic group and share singing experiences. We are not looking for professional standard singing and welcome anyone who wants to lend their voice, regardless of prior musical experience. We mostly work by ear, rather than from sheet music, songs are sung in simple harmonies and embrace the joys of singing!
For the new members' night, the choir will sing the pieces we are currently working on and new members can join in with the practice as little or as much as they are comfortable with. There are no auditions for Rhubaba choir and all newcomers are welcome!
The choir usually meets every other Thursday, with the occasional weekend workshop. We ask for a £2 contribution which goes towards the cost of providing soup and refreshments at the practices.
If you would like to find out more about the choir you can read about past projects on the choir section of our website or email us at Choir@rhubaba.org
