Hanshi Alain Sailly will be travelling all the way from France to Osgoode to teach a series of self-defence seminars. This is a great opportunity to gain a new perspective on our training, and connect with the martial arts community outside of our own little sphere in Osgoode. Several of our instructors have had the opportunity to train with Hanshi Sailly in the past, and we're really looking forward to this opportunity: his seminars provide a great deal of insight, will make you work hard, and you'll have fun!
This seminar has been arranged in collaboration with our friends Kyoshi Mike Sywyk (Eastwind Martial Arts) and Hanshi John Therien (Therien Jiu-Jitsu & Kickboxing).
We're breaking this up into two different sessions.
The first session, from 6:00-7:00pm, will focus on kids self-defence. This will be appropriate for students of all ranks aged 5 to 12. Parents are welcome to attend. The fee for attending is $20.
The second session, from 7:00-9:00pm, will be split between self defence against weapons and empty hand self defence. This session will be appropriate for teens and adults of all ranks. The fee for attending is $40 (this includes the first session).
Advance registration is appreciated, but drop-ins are welcome. Send a note to firstname.lastname@example.org if you plan to attend (or have any questions). There is also a sign-up sheet in the Dojo.
