About the book:
"Welcome to the world of Rescue Rosie, Climb aboard Rescue Rosie with Skipper Pete and his fluffy, scruffy dog, Henry, as they set off on their travels around the English canal system. You may think of a canal boat as inanimate but think again. Rosie has personality and principles! She is the boss and things usually go the way she plans in these charming stories aimed at 7 to 9 year olds.
Parents will enjoy the stories and the clues to find the real locations and children will love the characters brought to life in up and coming illustrator, Sarah Hoggard's, fabulous colour illustrations.
The books are a skilful mixture of fact and fiction. All locations are real and there is a puzzle in each chapter to work out where the story unfolds. All the stories are imaginary but with elements of reality.
Whether you are a parent who loves canals and boating or a grandparent who is lucky enough to spend time afloat in this magical world you will want the younger members of your family to join in the fun."
Each book purchase (£6.99) gives up to 2 children, accompanied by a paying adult, a free boat trip on the Pride of Ripon to go and find Rescue Rosie.
We look forward to see you there! Any questions please contact the page and a volunteer will help.
