"A Bird's Eye View of Riverside," is a lecture and discussion on how to attract birds to your garden and landscape. It will be presented on April 24 by birder and native gardener Melinda Pruett-Jones, former executive director of Chicago Wilderness and current executive director of the American Ornithological Society. She will talk about how specific plantings can be used to help sustain migrant and resident birds. She will also review successful restoration techniques that have attracted birds and other wildlife to Riverside's parks. The event is free and will be held at Riverside Public Library in Riverside, Illinois at 7 p.m.
