Full Course held April 26-29: Th/Fr 4:30pm-8:30pm; Sat/Sun 9am-5pm
Course Cost: $199.00 - There is a $25 non-refundable registration fee built into the cost of the eligibility swim test and course
Completion of this class does not guarantee Lifeguard Certification. Participants must pass pre-test, attend all class days and times, and pass all written and skill tests in order to receive certification. Participants will not be given a refund if they do not pass the class.

This is a 4-day course. Meets 4:30 - 8:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Before each course begins there is an eligibility swim that takes place at 5 p.m. on the Thursday before the course begins.
Requirements for Class:
1. Anyone under the age of 18 must also have their parent or guardian read and sign the Child Information Sheet. Participants must be 15 years or older on or before the final session of this course. Proof of age is required at registration or at the pre-test. It must be in the form of a Learner's Permit, Driver's License, Military ID or a Birth Certificate.
2. Swim 300 yards continuously demonstrating breath control and rhythmic breathing (swimming with face in-water required). Students may swim using the front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both but swimming on the back or side is not allowed. Swim goggles may be used during this event.
3. Tread water for 2 minutes using only the legs.
4. Complete a timed event within 1 minute, 40 seconds.
•Starting in the water, swim 20 yards. The face may be in or out of the water. Swim goggles are NOT allowed.
•Surface dive to a depth of 6 feet, swim 10 to 15 feet along the bottom to retrieve a 10-pound object.
•Return to the surface and swim 20 yards on the back to return to the starting point with both hands holding the object and keeping the face at or near the surface so they are able to get a breath. Students should not swim the distance under water.
•Exit the water without using a ladder or steps.
