A special concert celebrating Keith's career over the past 40 years.
The very best from more than 2,000 concerts and 14 Albums.
A collection of Keith's own songs plus those by Nick Drake, Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell, John Martyn, Lorca, Dylan Thomas and Pablo Neruda. Stories from the hedonistic world of London recording studios, anecdotes, secrets, disasters, and an audience Q and A. A chance to hear many of Keith's songs as they were first written as poetry.. Along with many random stories: being kidnapped in Paris, brought back to life in Bath Cardiology department, the 32nd person on the list at an open mike night in New York, a very strange marriage in Brazil and being on tour with Hot Chocolate in the 80s..ha! Oh, and spending 15 minutes in prison.
In the 70s Keith played hundreds of wine bars and recorded 4 now collectible vinyl Albums.
During the 1980s he joined the chaotic world of London recording studios, often working as a songwriter and arranger at BBC Maida Vale and Abbey Road, he later worked as a sound engineer and record producer in his own studios.
Over the years, he has worked with Paul Young, The Web Sisters, Gallager and Lyle, Peter Sarstedt, Labi Sifre, Robert Plant, Van Morrison, Alec Dankworth, Jaqui Dankworth, Luke Jackson, Jon Bowden, John Williams, Nancy Kerr, John Etheridge, Aka Bilk, Jimmy Somerville, Juan Martin, George Melly and many more..
Keith has performed over 2000 concerts in the UK, Ireland, Holland, Norway, France, Spain, USA, Italy and Greece.
His concerts are always engaging and deeply passionate and are more recently based on the study of poets and writers, whose poetic verse he has set into dramatic and absorbing songs.
This concert tour will be accompanied by the release of a Double Album on CD ‘Captured’ The Best of Keith James
