DUBAIS AND THE WOLFS
A lo-fi Arab-futurist band from visual artist Dubais - Nadia Buyse. Nadia has been in over 37 bands, collaborating with many artists and musicians in various capacities... but name dropping is boring AF. Nadia uses the tropes of pop music to examine Diasporic migration, Neo-liberal dystopia, emotional incapacitations, consumer technologies, hybrid identities, intersectional feminism, and transnational communities.
With Alison Wolfe singing back up vocals. Alison is a former member of Bratmobile and Party line and is currently working on an oral history of riot grrrl.
With support from KNIGHT OF THE COMET, featuring Jon Slade (Huggy Bear/Comet Gain), Steph Goodman (Shrag) and Nadia Buyse on drums.
Fan Club’s focus is to support and promote self-identifying women and non-binary artists, designers, musicians and creatives in a fun and friendly safe space where we can hang out and make friends while dancing to a female-influenced soundtrack.
SAFER SPACES POLICY IN PLACE. ALL AGES WELCOME.
Floor One at Rough Trade Nottingham is lift accessible.
Doors open at 7pm
