With regret our scheduled speaker this month has had to withdraw for family reasons. We will try to reschedule him for the 2019/20 season unless a vacancy occurs during our next season.
However: we are pleased to offer this alternative kindly given, at short notice, by Bob McMillan.
Bob will speak of Ayrshire’s involvement in WW2. His talk will cover industry, airfields and some of the lesser known happenings in the area at that time.
Although not strictly aviation orientated the talk will inevitably touch on the important part Ayrshire played in the air war.
The talk should prove relevant to anyone interested in Ayrshire’s recent history.
Visitors and Guests are welcome, and an opportunity to meet over tea or coffee will be available in the Aviator Suite (situated on the upper floor of the terminal building) during the evening. The lecture begins at 7:30 p.m. after the AGM. Entry is free to students in full time education; otherwise there is an entry fee of £3 for visitors. The airport parking fee for visitors is £2.50, payable at the Information Desk.
