Dear White Central is an invitation to an open discussion about the issues of equality and racism in our institution. Come and listen to each others experiences, learn about what diversity in the institution currently looks like and discuss what we think should be done to improve this.
We will hear anonymous testimonies from BAME students performed by actors.
We will listen to Central share their approach to improving diversity in the institution.
We will look closely at the statistics of the ethnicity demographics over the past 5 years and challenge why they are so poor.
We will have a Q&A with a panel of industry professionals chaired by Ayesha Casely-Hayford (Act For Change, Afro Archives) linking these issues to the wider industry.
Discussions from the event will be fed back to Central's Equality and Diversity Committee to influence future actions the institution takes to improve diversity within in the school.
Have your say.
Listen, Discuss, Develop.
Tickets released on 10th April. Open to general public.
