A Open Exchange workshop exploring how we can write for the stage without having to call ourselves playwrights.
We'll be looking at how we define ourselves as artists, and what we might need to think about in writing for theatre stages, and larger spaces, without feeling we have to write plays.
We'll look at the possibilities of stages when they don't have plays on them, and how we can transfer our ideas from one discipline into another and transform them in the process.
If you've got something 'non-theatre' you're working on at the moment / that you've been thinking about making into theatre, feel free to bring a short extract, or just an idea - but don't feel you have to.
WHO IS IT FOR?
Artists and Theatre-makers from the Open Exchange network, who are interested in exploring ways of theatre making, across disciplines.
