'Rock to the Top' is inspired by the story of Oisín i dTír na n-Óg, who single-handedly threw a boulder up the valley at Glenasmole. You are invited to join the challenge of recreating this mythic feat by working together to carry a granite boulder (in pieces) from Tallaght, to make a cairn at the foot of Kippure. The last third of the boulder has been broken up. Join in now to help get the boulder to the top by mid-summer!
Connecting city with mountains, and people with each other, the project is about walking and talking. Two-thirds of the rock is on the mountain, and the walks will continue until all of the boulder has been brought to the top.
