In collaboration with artist Thor Mhyre and in participation with the Allied Arts RARE festival, Ruckus will be hosting an afternoon of free events inspired by the use of recycled and repurposed materials:

12:00 Washtub Bass Workshop with Thor Myhre. Build your own mini washtub bass instrument from a coffee can. This low volume, mellow instrument is a great way to discover the physics of sound and is an easy way to learn how to find notes by ear. Other audio found object sculptures will be on hand to experiment with. Workshop ends with a performance by students with the band Ubercycle Revisionists using audio sculptures made from found objects. (Free)

12:30 "Pappenspiel" - an original repurposed puppet show by "Max" Eberhard Eichner . Alive imagination, moral storytelling and puppetry based on fable, folk and wondertales for all ages. (Free)

1:00 Ubercycle Revisionists with Thor Myhre and Eberhard Eichner build musical instruments from discarded materials that already surround us. These audio sculptures can be played- resulting in a unique kind of performance art that demonstrates the physics of sound and shows how creativity is accessible to anyone even with the mundane, everyday materials. The audience is also given an opportunity to experiment with the instruments. (Free)

2:30 Puppet Show by Eberhard Eichner (Free)
