RRFF Thursday Evening Fly Casting Clinic - The Casting Pond at Dan Galvin Park, Santa Rosa. This event will be held from 4:30 to 7:00 pm (weather permitting)!
This week we will once again attempt to kick-off our 2018 Thursday evening fly casting sessions. Last week, rain forced the cancellation of our first clinic, but on the plus side, we do need the moisture. Forecasts this week are also predicting rain, so we'll just have to see how everything plays out.
For your reference, I monitor Intellicast when determining whether to make the drive to Santa Rosa (or not) for our clinics. It's hourly forecast is as good as any other I have come across, and often fairly accurate.
Our RRFF Fly Casting Clinics are FREE and are OPEN TO THE PUBLIC! Beginners are always welcome and we do have some equipment available for your use at the Casting Pond if you do not have your own. We can help you learn the basics of throwing a fly line, or fine-tune and trouble-shoot your existing technique to help you become a more accomplished fly caster.
Fly casting proficiency is a direct result of practice. If you want to be able to make those presentations that will entice your aquatic quarry, please join us for a great evening of fun and camaraderie...
See you at the Casting Pond...hopefully...
