Lined up, we have:
Laura McCafferty is a singer-songwriter from London, occasionally found in dimly lit spaces singing emotionally raw, melancholic songs which both echo her main influences, sharon van etten, aldous harding and marika hackman as well as drawing new inspiration from poetic metaphors found in the natural world. Often joined on stage by fellow Goldsmiths graduate Hana Williams (a.k.a Honey Stretton), an unusual and powerful use of female harmony makes the music moving, powerful and captivating.
Lucien Chase is an electro indie-folk act based in South-East London. His intimate lyrics articulate the urban hum, both an escape from and an attempt to find solace in it . The intricate layers of synths and violin develops over lo-fi hip hop inspired bass and drums, combining raw vocals and intimate guitar playing – somewhere in between Andy Shauf, eevee and Pixies. His first EP, 'Anytime, Anywhere' has been released in February 2018.
Her debut EP 'Nhw' entwines archaic Welsh folklore in Eryr, with the talk of our time in Grey Bed. With hints of Andy Shauf and Norah Jones, intricately arranged songs tell captivating stories through shifting harmony, succeeding in creating an experience entirely stand-alone and unique.
