A forum featuring questions and answers from the candidates vying for seats on the Sealy City Council is set for 5:30 p.m. April 18 at Saddleback Saloon.
The one-hour forum will be moderated by Sealy News managing editor April Towery and will feature questions submitted by the public and prepared by The Sealy News staff.
The forum will be broadcast live on The Sealy News’ Facebook page. Candidates will be restricted to three minutes per answer.
The following candidates are listed on the ballot:
• Chris Noack, Place 2 incumbent. Noack, a 27-year-old software developer, is running unopposed.
• Jennifer Sullivan, Place 4 incumbent. Sullivan, 45, is a machine shop owner,
• Diane Wuthrich, Place 4. Wuthrich, 58, is a retired teacher.
• Larry Koy, Place 5 incumbent. Koy, 74, is retired.
• Mischelle McCarthy, Place 5. McCarthy, 43, is self-employed.
The election is set for May 5.
City council seats are nonpartisan and officials are elected to three-year terms. A council member cannot serve more than three consecutive three-year terms.
