Women and Justice: One in Christ

ELCA Draft Social Statement on Women and Justice

During the next few months, St. Paul will participate in a Study and Response for the ELCA Task Force on Women and Justice: One in Christ. We begin in Adult Forum on April 8 and continue through May 20. We will return our collective and/or individual responses by the deadline of September 30, 2018.
The Draft Statement deals with such topics as Sexism, Patriarchy, Gender-based Violence, and Human Trafficking.
There are two sections to the report: a Basic Statement and a Fuller Explanation. To participate fully, you will need to read about 10 pages before each of the 7 sessions and be prepared to discuss them. After the Basic Statement has been read, we will have speakers to summarize each section of the Fuller Explanation and lead that discussion. If you are interested in being part of this policy making project, see Maryann O’Brien for a booklet. The Catholic Community is invited to participate as well.
The Schedule: Adult Forum meets downstairs from 9:15 to 10:15 on Sundays
