The Sakya Buddhist group in Bath offers weekly meditation sessions together with a 10-week cycle of introductory talks about Buddhism, but each week is a stand-alone session so you can come anytime you like. Tonights talk will be number eight of the series (that will be repeated after the tenth week) and will focus on our motivation for being a buddhist and why we practise to become enlightened.
The sessions comprise an explanation of and time for calm-abiding meditation, followed by the talk, a short contemplation and time for questions, discussion and refreshments at the end.
These evenings are open to all, no need for experience and ideal for anyone interested or wanting to deepen their understanding of the Buddhist path.
No need to book, just turn up. £4/£2
