The Community Gems will be hosting their first workshop at the Salisbury Public Library on Saturday, April 7th from 10-12!

Bring an old t-shirt or two (or use one of the ones provided) and give it a new life! Hands on tutorials will be suited for ages 10 and up. Some examples are: shopping and produce bags, dog toys, head bands and scarves. Feel free to make multiple items or to bring your own ideas to share with others!

You will need: an old tshirt or two
We will supply: instructions, scissors, and a handful of extra tshirts
Space is limited so contact the library to register today!

Here’s why you should come:
A) it takes 700 gallons of water to make a cotton t-shirt
B) the average American throws our 82lbs of textile waste each year
C) clothes can take up to 40 years to decompose
D) make some new friends
E) help save the environment and teach the kids how to repurpose!
