Songsmith Sunday, April 15, Josh Harvey, Robin Green-Jacobs, and Ken Zimmerman
Songsmith Sunday is a monthly showcase of some of the Eugene area’s finest singer/songwriters in a listening environment where their voices and hearts can truly be heard. Songsmith takes place every third Sunday of the month, 6-8pm at Sam Bonds Brewery in the Foundry Building, 540 E. 8th Ave.
This months show features Josh (‘the boy’) Harvey, Robin Greene-Jacobs, and Ken Zimmerman.
Josh Harvey is a singer songwriter/multi instrumentalist based out of Eugene, OR. He was formally known as "The Boy" as part of the popular international touring act "Betty and the Boy". His songwriting is inspired by nature, life, death, and the unknown. We’re excited to introduce Josh as a solo singer/songwriter to the Songsmith audience.
Robin Greene-Jacobs is a fairly recent transplant in the Eugene area, via Alaska and Portland. An award-winning singer/songwriter, she’s performed her folk/blues original songs at festivals around the US and Europe for over 20 years. She was a hit with her set last year, and we’re glad to bring her riveting voice and powerful, emotional songs, back to the stage at Sam Bonds Brewing.
Ken Zimmerman is a co-founder and one of the hosts of Songsmith Sunday. He is well-known in Eugene as a teacher, poet, and writer as well as a singer/songwriter. His songs are rooted in the folk and blues traditions, branching into new forms. Ken also plays with the band Cross Current.
