Pranayam Level 2 with Sarajean Rudman.
Pranayama is translated roughly to "control of the breath" and is a word comprised of two separate Sanskrit words: prana, meaning "life force" and yama, meaning "restraint or control”. In Pranayama module 2 we will build on the techniques learned in Pranayama module 1 and dive even deeper into the magic of breath-work. Pranayama module 2 can be taken before or after Pranayama module 1, as we will review and learn the proper procedure and application of several breath techniques that can deeply impact our connection to the subtle and gross bodies. We will learn how to utilize pranayama in your personal practice, teach it to a class, and discover the intricate details of the effects of pranayama on the systems in the body both immediately and over time with regular us.

Sarajean Shakti Rudman, founder of Bala Strong Hot Vinyasa Yoga and the RunYogiRun Podcast, wants you to be well. A New England-based Yogini, Ayurvedic practitioner, Nutritionist, and outdoor adventure guide, she has over a decade of experience across many diverse fields in health and wellness to support you. Sarajean is an integral teacher at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Stockbridge, MA, and teaches all over the country and the world as an expert in her fields of Ayurveda, Yoga, Mindful Running and Nutrition at many well renowned centers, festivals, and venues. In addition to certifications in multiple fitness modalities, Sarajean holds a B.S. in Health and Wellness and Sports Management, an M.S. in Integrative Health and Clinical Nutrition, a post-baccalaureate certificate in Health and Wellness Coaching, and an M.A. in Health and Wellness Coaching (expected completion May 17). These Western credentials are balanced with a 500-hour E-RYT, a Kripalu Ayurvedic Yoga Teacher and a NAMA recognized Ayurvedic Practitioner Certifications. Sarajean embodies, through her studies and experiences, the synergy and harmony that Eastern and Western science and philosophy can exist in together, bringing people together in community and helping them find their healthy balance.
