For 50 years, The Black Student Union has fought for our community on the University at Buffalo's campus and in the surrounding community. Thank you for dedicating your time to our illustrious organization. In commemoration of your service, we cordially invite you to celebrate our rich history. The sacrifice and effort that you devoted in the name of progress will never be forgotten and we believe a night of celebration is long overdue. Sankofa is a word from the Twi language of Ghana that means, "Remembering our past, to make a better future." During the ball, we will be presenting awards to remarkable members along with multiple captivating performances by local artists. So please, come join us in a celebration of you and this great organization that has stood true in its purpose of "the struggle and overcoming the struggle."
