Cecilia Gorman, Owner, Creative + Talent + Partners
Cecilia hails from the advertising industry, where she spent 20+ years in creative production, HR and recruiting. Her life-long love of learning plus a knack for coaching other ultimately turned her career into one as a professional speaker and trainer. Cecilia Gorman is a certified Executive Director of the John C. Maxwell Team, a training consultancy. She’s also the co-founder of Empowership, a year-long training and mentorship program designed exclusively for women. It’s her mission to inspire, educate and motivate people toward their greatest potential.
Gene Aldava has extensive experience as Human Resources professional and department manager, spanning more than 25 years. For the past 6 years, he has served as Director of Human Resources and General Administration for Abode Communities, an award-winning nonprofit developer of affordable apartment housing in Los Angeles. Prior employers have included Oakwood Worldwide (Corporate Housing), Southern California Edison, and City National Bank with a focus on Compensation, Benefits, and Recognition/Performance Management. He also worked as a Sr. HR Consultant with HR Network, Inc. serving the needs of smaller businesses. Gene earned his bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at UCLA where he taught Freshman English and received his Senior Professional in HR (SPHR) designation from the HR Certification Institute. He has been an active member of PIHRA Pasadena and currently serves as a member of the Advisory Board for Cal State Los Angeles' new HR Certificate program.
Dana Mayhew is a communications expert, instructor, public speaker and HR consultant. She is the owner of TDC Consults, a human resource consulting firm. She specializes in HR management, employee relations, leadership training, and executive coaching. Dana works with small to large corporations in higher education, medical, health insurance, biotechnical, manufacturing, and technological industries as well as non-profit corporations. As a human resource consultant, she assists corporations meet their strategic goals by developing preventative compliance measures that curtail costly employee disputes, creating change programs and managing the employee relations endeavors. Dana is the immediate past chair of PIHRA Pasadena, and the chair of PIHRA Pasadena’s CalSHRM Legislative Affairs Committee.
