Join us for our monthly Warhammer 40,000 event. As in previous years every player's scores from all of this years events will count towards our Warhammer 40,000 Hall Of Fame invitational event which will take place towards the end of the year.
This event is for like minded players who enjoy fun and competition!
BUILDING YOUR ARMY
Players must build an army up to a max of 120 power points, be comprised of no more than three detachments and all units must share a common faction keyword.
All models need to be fully assembled, painted a minimum of three colours and based appropriately. Proxies are fine as long as the model is immediately recognisable as to what it represents. Please ask a member of staff if in any doubt. Players will also need a legible hand-written or printed army list.
Before battle begins, determine each army’s Power Level by adding together the Power Ratings of all the units set up in that army; whichever player has the lowest is the Underdog. If both have the same Power Level, the player who assigned the deployment zones is the Underdog. If the difference between the Power Levels of the
two armies is 10 to 19, the Underdog receives one Command re-roll; if the difference is 20 to 29, the Underdog receives two Command re-rolls. Each Command re-roll can be used once, at any point during the battle, to re-roll a single dice.
The Underdog chooses who has the first turn.
The battle will take place on a 6' x 4' table with pre-assigned terrain features.
There will be 3 rounds, each lasting 180 minutes. There will be a short break for lunch between rounds one and two. Time will start as soon as all players are at their table. Players are encouraged to set up as quickly as they can!
When time is called, players must finish the current round so that both players have had an equal moment of turns. Players will be given a 10 minute warning before time is called, DO NOT start a new round unless it is OK'd by the TO.
OPEN WAR DECK
Each player will need an open war deck or have access to one. Before each game players will use the open war deck to determine the games Deployment, Objective, Twist, Ruse and Sudden death conditions. Each game throughout the event will be different adding an air of uncertainty to the event and simulating the fog of war in battle.
Glorious victory 5 points
Major victory 3 points
Minor victory 2 points
Draw 1 point
Loss 0 points
Points difference will be in effect.
Secondary points will be kill points using power levels for each unit completely destroyed.
