Join us for the opening of "Full Bleed" new work by Liam Gerrard and a splash or two of Craggy Range wine, opening Tuesday, 20 March at 5:30pm at Sanderson Contemporary Art Gallery!
Liam Gerrard is known for his delicate and sympathetic portrayals of the macabre. With no restrictions in place of a recurring subject matter, each exhibition shifts to another investigation or series of concerns. Gerrard’s latest body of work captures everyday domestic beauty – a section of the ubiquitous picket fence composed with often sighted flowers, the rose, lily and hydrangea.
Full Bleed, as the title suggests, is a series of new works that explode over the edge of the paper. While depicting the seeming beauty of the every-day, Gerrard hints at the veneer of beauty we find in a suburban garden.
