For anyone who is interested in participating in the summer smith 5k on May 12th, I’m keeping an eye on the weather, and as long as nothing drastically changes I will be running Sunday morning (3/4) in the state park.
Anyone who is interested in group training is welcome. I’m a slower runner and typically have a 12 minute mile, and I’m hoping to log 3 miles, but I can make adjustments or we can try to match people with similar abilities.
I’m also going to leave copies of the Jeff Galloway method. He encourages a walk/run for first timers and most people do really well when they follow his training schedule.
Unless there is ice or snow, I will be out there by 7am. Remember we can’t predict what the weather will be on race day, so its best to train in all weather conditions as long as it’s not dangerous.
