80% of all known DIS-EASE is caused by anxiety and stress. It's the #1 health problem and one of the leading causes of death in America.

Stress is an inevitable part of life for most people. It is the body's response to the pressures placed on it by its environment and day to day actions. Young children are increasingly experiencing stress, anxiety and depression when dealing with a complicated world.

Let's face it, a stressed out parent raises stress out kids. A mindful parent raises less stressed kids. Finding a healthy way to slow down is key to a life of joy and happiness. An Ancient way of slowing down is meditation. Scientific research over the past 20 years, has indicated that this ancient practice is unparalleled in its ability to reduce stress and increase joy and happiness in a person’s life. Meditation offers this break and helps kids function more effectively and clearly.

Join Maury for Saturday class from 9:30am-11:15am. Learn about Mindfulness and why bother to do it. Experience movement, breathing, mindfulness meditation and learn how you can use these techniques off the mat for overall wellness, symptoms and diseases. This is more of a wonderful education workshop and yoga class. Maury will talk about how the various techniques aid in various western diagnosed diseases and symptoms.

These classes prepare you to meet the ups and downs of existence. It reduces your fear, anxiety, worry and stress. Things begin to fall into place, and your life becomes a glide instead of a struggle. Mindfulness Meditation is a way to go deeper into your own faith.

The purpose of Mindfulness Meditation is personal transformation.

The “you” that goes in one side of the meditation experience is not the same “you” that comes out the other side. Meditation changes your character by making you deeply aware of your own thoughts, words and deeds. Your arrogance evaporates and your antagonism dries up.

Sattvic Space is a non-profit volunteer built and supported yoga & wellness center built by the community for the community. The center is made possible through donations and the generosity of the community.

After class come tour the center and learn about the other mindfulness activities available such as: African drumming (Dance, Drum and Meditation), art, acting.

Join Maury who was introduced to the practice of mantra and meditation over 30 years ago, after the death of his mother. The practice then saved his life after the tragic loss of his son. He has extensive training in therapeutic yoga with a focus on the healing power of the breathe. He basis his teachings on these principles to show the art of self-healing for anxiety, depression and weight control.
