We all experience loss and grief sometimes; it is an unavoidable part of living.
So we are offering you a chance to learn more about the process of bereavement and how to open up conversation about it so more people can feel less stuck in the difficult feelings. Some really simple changes to how we talk and listen to each other can make a huge difference.
Children can find it especially hard to deal with when they are still learning how to understand their own feelings and thoughts. How we, as adults, talk and listen to them at these difficult times can really turn things around.
We want to help more people to feel more comfortable talking about loss and bereavement; to be more familiar with natural human grief and we want to help more parents and carers to be able to support their children and young people through that process too.
As experienced facilitators, we create a safe and supportive space where people can come together to find out more about how we can anticipate, experience and adjust to loss and grief however and whenever it comes into our lives.
(This is an adaptation of our training session that we originally designed and delivered with foster carers in Swindon. It is not bereavement counselling or a support group and this session may not be suitable if you have experienced a recent loss or if you would be better served by one-to-one support.)
This event will be facilitated by Milly and Olivia
Fresh cake and coffee will be provided!
