Learn every facet of launching your own line as SCAD presents a conversation with award-winning jewelry designers and business owners Amedeo Scognamiglio and Roberto Faraone Mennella.
The founders of the jewelry collection Faraone Mennella provide a candid look at the opportunities and challenges for entrepreneurial designers as they build their brands in today’s marketplace.
Scognamiglio and Faraone Mennella founded Faraone Mennella in 2001, an acclaimed contemporary collection inspired by classical Italian heritage. For nearly 20 years, they have created iconic pieces worn by A-listers Jennifer Anniston, Cameron Diaz, Oprah Winfrey and more. Their jewelry can be seen across film and television in movies including "The Devil Wears Prada," "It’s Complicated" and "When in Vegas," and shows including "Sex and the City" and "Will & Grace."
As owners of R.F.M.A.S. Group, the duo also operates Amedeo, a critically acclaimed jewelry line focused on modernizing cameos and featured in Vogue, ELLE, W Magazine and The New York Times, among others.
This conversation is moderated by Rima Suqi, author, producer and journalist whose by-line has appeared in publications including The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Elle Decor and JCK magazine.
This event is presented as part of SCADstyle 2018 and is free and open to the public.
