Face processing: Neurocognitive Specificity and Developmental Origins

Date: Friday 16 March 2018
Time: 12 noon
Venue: EA527, 5th Floor, Easterfield Building

Abstract:

Face processing has played a central role in debates about the nature of neurocognitive organization. In my talk, I will review the most decisive evidence about whether face processing involves mechanisms specialized for faces or whether it depends on processes that are not category-specific, and also touch on the developmental origins of the processes supporting face perception.
