Scout & Morgan Books is excited to welcome Minnesota author, Linda LeGarde Grover with her latest book, Onigamiising: Seasons of an Ojibwe Year. It is a collection of fifty short essays revolving around the four seasons of the year, and of life, for the Ojibwe in northeastern Minnesota. Long before it was known as Duluth, the land at the western tip of Lake Superior was known to the Ojibwe as Onigamiising, “the place of the small portage.”
“Reading these essays is like quietly listening to a thoughtful elder telling tales, spinning stories, and subtly offering wise guidance to her descendants as well as to anyone else fortunate enough to hear.” – Foreward Reviews
