In anticipation of our Carnegie Hall debut later this month, we're hosting FREE and exciting cultural festivities in the newly-renovated Julianne and George Argyros Plaza before our "Glass & Shankar" concerts! The Plaza stage will alternate between Indian musical and dance groups, celebrating the unique sounds of the tabla, sitar, veena and santoor.

The first group, consisting of Paul Livingstone and Neel Agrawal, will also be performing in the Concert Hall lobby for concert ticket holders starting at 7:30 p.m. They will be joined by two other musicians in an interactive east/west performance with Arohi Ensemble: "ragajazz chamber music” featuring sitar, tabla, cello and drums.

This is going to be a big event, so come early and enjoy the sounds and aesthetics of the culture that Glass and Shankar worked so hard to represent, and to meld together, for the beautiful pieces that will be performed by your Symphony these nights.
