On Wednesday April 11th, SEIU 509 members will come together for a coordinated day of action at the State House.
There is a lot at stake for working families and the people we serve. From protecting the right to belong in a union, to ensuring that all workers are paid a living wage, on April 11th we will speak with one voice. We will be advocating for legislation and budget items that affect our specific chapters, as well as broader issues affecting SEIU 509 members and the working people of Massachusetts.
Lobby Day will kick off at 10:00am at SEIU 32BJ, located at 26 West Street in Boston. Members must use their own time to participate; however, Local 509 will provide lunch and reimbursement for parking and miles.
Please join with your union brothers and sisters from every chapter; Public Sector, Private Sector, Child Care, Higher Education, and Clinicians United on April 11th for a day of solidarity and political action.
Please contact Bridget K. Quinn, Local 509 Deputy Legislative Director at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
