A Puccini Spectaular Event featuring two of the three operas from "Il Trittico." First, "Il Tabarro" (The Cloak), will take to the stormy waters near Paris, where you'll meet Giorgetta and her elder husband Michele, and the young passion filled Luigi who is vying for Giorgetta's love. Who will she choose and who will die for the sin of adultery? Then we enter the cloisters in Suor Angelica, where you'll meet the gentle, simple, and sweet sisters with vibrant personalities who are devoted to the Virgin Mother. One, not so simple, is Angelica who entered the convent seven years ago after having a child out of wedlock. She hasn't heard from her family since...but news has come that a visitor has arrived at the convent. Is the visitor from Angelica's family and will this visit change her life forever? Come and be moved by Puccini's glorious melodies and music on June 8th at 7pm or June 10th and 3pm, 2018 at the Seneca Queen Theatre in Downtown Niagara Falls. Special performance by Metropolitan Opera Star soprano and internationally renowned Diva, Aprile Millo who has graced the opera stages of the world and won monumental accolades and awards for her extraordinary voice will appear on June 8th as Giorgetta with special guest Canadian baritone Jeffrey Carl as Michele and rising young Italo-Canadian Tenor Giacomo Folinazzo in Il Tabarro. Suor Angelica will be performed by Niagara's own soprano Maria Vetere, "the Elizabeth Taylor of Opera" as hailed by the Philadelphia Local. They will be joined by the rising stars of of Opera Niagara: Stephanie Yelovich, Erin Dickau, Teiya Kasahara, Catherine Wethington, Emily Casey, Martin Hinrichs-Pymm, Domenico SanFilippo, Joel Ricci, Joesph Wilson, Lindsey Duggan, Jennifer McKillop, Danielle DiStefano, and many others.
