Yin Yoga is a slower, methodical style of practicing yoga that brings balance to the body, mind and spirit by incorporating movements, mental focus techniques and breath practices to stabilize our energy, calm our minds and heal our bodies. Yin Yoga represents the unity between Indian Tantric yoga systems and Chinese Taoist traditions. The intensity and action of modern Yang lifestyle can leave us run down and in need of balance. The depth, ease and serenity of Yin Yoga practices foster a balance of Yin and Yang that fosters vibrant health and energy levels!!
Learn all about Yin Yoga along with it’s foundational principles and philosophy. Learn about the anatomy and energetic impact of this style of slow movements held for longer periods of time. Understand Toasist and Trantric Theory as it applies to Yoga. All participants will graduate with a Yin Yoga Certification and be able to establish a profound and comprehensive personal practice.
This 50-hour Certification Intensive consists of contact 40 hours and 10 non-contact hours based upon written, physical and self-study assignments. Coursework will consist of studies and experiential work covering postures, theory, practice and application of Yin Yoga.
Yoga Teachers who attend will receive a complete certification through this course that will enable them to safely and respectfully share the gifts of teaching Yin Yoga. Those who intend to teach should have completed a minimum of one 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training prior to starting the course.
All course meetings and completion of all non-contact assignments are mandatory for Certification. Recommended reading for the course will be emailed to participants following enrollment in the program.
