Join Sarah Trinler for Transformational Yoga, a DONATION BASED community class, located at Crescent Lake Park, near the playground. This is a practice which dives into the tradition of slow and mindful movement, saluting the sun, and creating internal tapas (heat) in the body. This method of creating space, allows for the mind and body to return to homeostasis. Subtle energy blockages tend to form in various parts of the body, causing a host of health related imbalances. Through a traditional yogic system of movement such as Sun Salutations coupled with restorative postures to open the hips and heart, one may begin to experience a profound sense of healing and connectedness.
Each Sunday will be led by one of our Mission teachers to help guide you in your practice toward inner expansion, healing, self realization, awareness and vibrational awakening.
Classes are not purposefully designed in an exercise like manner but in a manner to clear energy blockages stored in the body through Asana (postures), Pranayama (breath exercise), and Mantra, in an effort to prepare for Dhyana (meditation). Postures and methods of movement will be suitable for all levels of practice. Beginners are welcome and highly encouraged to attend.
Feel free to bring a towel, mat, or blanket for your practice. Class is subject to cancel only if weather is not agreeable such as rain and uncomfortably cold conditions. Otherwise, we shall see you all there!
"Seva” is a Sanskrit word meaning “selfless service” or work performed without any thought of reward or repayment. In ancient India seva was believed to help one's spiritual growth and at the same time contribute to the improvement of a community.
