WE WANT YOUR FEEDBACK!
The County of Grande Prairie, City of Grande Prairie, towns of Wembley, Beaverlodge and Sexsmith, and the village of Hythe are inviting area residents to help shape the future of handibus services throughout our region.
Beginning April 3, a series of open houses and an online survey are being launched to gather input on the potential improvement and expansion of specialized transit services throughout Grande Prairie and area.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Six municipalities – the County of Grande Prairie, the City of Grande Prairie, the towns of Wembley, Beaverlodge and Sexsmith, and the Village of Hythe – initiated the project to improve mobility options for residents. Watt Consulting Group was hired for the project which will explore the improvement and expansion of specialized transit/paratransit services throughout our area.
Input collected at the open houses and through the survey will be considered in the development of the final service proposals. The project is due for completion by June. It is being funded by a $67,500 Alberta Community Partnership grant obtained by the Town of Wembley.
