Jan Kochanowski is one of Poland's eminent poets and a near contemporary of William Shakespeare. This event is for anyone interested in Polish culture and the Polish passion for Shakespeare. Also for those who want to understand more about the longstanding Polish presence in Stratford and South Warwickshire.

His Excellency Arkady Rzegocki, Polish Ambassador to the court of St James will introduce the evening and Professor Barry Keane of the University of Warsaw will explore the significance of Kochanowski and Shakespeare as Renaissance writers.
