A movement exploration workshop designed to feel into the body, harnessing the fresh energy of Spring. We will be combining breath work, yoga, free movement & contact improvisation for a Spring workshop themed around connecting to Self.
This workshop is themed on the Solar Plexus Chakra, which is connected to the element of fire and our inner power source. We’ll be fanning the flames of our inner fire / passions and tuning into the vibrant energy of Spring as the days get lighter and brighter. This is a chance to shed the winter months and leap into Spring with determination, breathing new life into any budding projects or intentions! The workshop also takes place on a Full Moon which can be a great time to envision your dreams manifesting, gather in groups and tap into the high energy of the brightest lunar phase.
Please wear comfortable clothing, all equipment is provided and no prior experience is needed, this workshop is open to all. There will be time after the session to jot down anything that came up for you so you’re welcome to bring a notepad and pen along and stay afterwards for private reflection.

This workshop is led by Jodie and Jasmine. Jodie studied Dance Performance at Falmouth University and has over 10 years’ experience of practicing dance. During her studies, she practiced yoga in the mornings which she found very beneficial, so after graduating she started yoga teacher training. She is now in her 3rd year of teacher training with the British Wheel of Yoga, teaching yoga and body balance classes across the North East.
Jasmine had been practicing yoga for 10 years and after feeling the overall benefits to her physical and emotional wellbeing, she dreamed of being able to share this with others through teaching. So in May 2017, she trained in Astanga Vinyasa Flow Yoga in India and has since been teaching yoga classes across Newcastle. She is currently completing extra teacher training modules with Yoga Therapies. She has experience facilitating various workshops such as yoga dance, women’s circles, group meditation and self-empowerment for young people.
