Hips are located at the center of our bodies and as the biggest joint in the body, they are a pivotal point and play a major role in how our bodies move.

Many of us have tight hips due to the amount of sitting we do in our day to day activities; whether it be sitting at a computer or driving in a car. Creating space in your hips can provide ease of movement and opening throughout the entire body.

Having hips that are open is beneficial for both physical and emotional well-being. Hips are often referred to as the bodies "junk drawer", a place where we store emotions that we are not yet ready to deal with or that are too overwhelming for us to process. Cleaning out the junk drawer can make us feel lighter and provide us with a clearer mind and new sense of freedom.
In this 2 hour workshop we will work through various hip-opening poses to help undo excessive tension and tightness in the hips. Using breath and body awareness, we will work through any stuck emotions to give ourselves a new sense of freedom and ease.
