Welcome to the Yin-side. Enjoy this quietly challenging yoga practise led by Yin Yoga teacher trainer Ariel who studied directly with Yin Yoga Founder Paul Grilley, Insight Yoga Founder Sarah Powers and Yoga Medicine Founder Tiffany Cruikshank.
Yin yoga is an excellent practise to complement more “yang”, active exercises and lifestyle. On a physical level, yin yoga aims at exercising our fascia (an important body-wide web of tension network, including connective tissues) through stretching and stressing them in long-held passive poses. On the mental and psychological levels, yin practise offers us a chance to be introspective and learn to surrender. It can calms our mind and emotions, giving us space to heal.
