The Kuwait School of Dance will bring to life the expression of despair, pain, greed and anger in challenging moments of life. We will show that although we cannot control events, we CAN control how we react to them in order to hold on to our humanity, express compassion and regain faith to find the light to continue.
The choreography will transport the audience on a journey that starts from the moment one loses control, travels through the phases of reactions and actions, to finally rise up and make a real difference. These phases are further translated in the intensity of each scene in the performance, the choreography offering a complete emotionally charged experience. The Kuwait school of dance started in 1974 and since then has focused on expressing art & emotions through passionate movement.
The performance combines music and singing, (Shahad Al Amiri, live band- Zak al Mousawi, piano-Dania Ramadan) projection of real images and graphic artwork to simulate the emotions and enhance the storyline followed on stage.
The cast includes 24 talented young dancers ranging in age from 12 to 32 who beautifully portray that no matter what our color, faith, size, ethnic origin or age, we can all come together in peace and harmony to make our world a better place.
