The House of Delegates (HOD) is the voice of all CANP members. Composed primarily of selected representatives from each CANP chapter, it is the legislative and policy-making body of the association. The HOD session is open to all members, though only seated delegates are permitted to vote on items up for consideration.

The HOD has the authority to elect the CANP President, President Elect, Vice President of Finance, Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Speaker of the House. The HOD also transacts all business of the association not otherwise specifically provided for in the CANP bylaws. To serve as a delgate, one must be an active NP Full, First-Year Graduate or Senior member of CANP.

The HOD meets on a biennial basis (every other year), unless circumstances merit the calling of a special session. The next meeting of the HOD takes place April 30, 2018 at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Sacramento. Those planning on attending can book hotel accomodations now. CANP's room rate of $215 per night is available for April 28 through May 3. The cutoff date for reservations at the special rate is April 7.
